Drake White is not a household name and you may not have even heard him on the radio yet. Rolling Stone has likened him to Chris Stapleton and it’s easy to see why when you hear his soulful voice. However, even if you happen to be a fan already, Drake is one of those artists that you can’t appreciate entirely until you catch the live show. His combination of storytelling, booming voice, guitar picking and boot stomping showmanship will leave you in awe.
Making Me Look Good Again
Standout Line: “Leather and lace, denim and pearls, whiskey and wine they go just fine like you and me girl/ When you smile at me and say there ain’t no better place that you rather be than right here loving me.”
I Need Real
Standout Line: “I need your warm skin on my cold heart on a lonely night/ Just lay it all on the line.”
What’s Up (4 Non Blondes Cover)
Drake often plays this cover and makes this very non country song his own. Drake’s unique delivery arguable makes this cover better than the original.
