The amazing Maren Morris, will join the 2016 Windy City Smokeout music line up. Maren joins an impressive group of artists set to take the stage at the fourth annual BBQ and country music fest including Old Dominion, Billy Currington, Chase Rice, Big & Rich, Phil Vassar & Jessie James Decker, among others.
Signed to Columbia Nashville, Maren Morris has been touted as Nashville’s next breakout pop star. Her lead single, “My Church,” from her self-titled album, quickly rose up the Billboard music charts. This summer, Maren will release her first major label full-length album, Hero, and is also teaming up with country music legend Keith Urban for his 2016 RipCord World Tour. In addition to Maren, Windy City Smokeout is pleased to announce another round of artists including Ryan Beaver, Ryan Hurd, Cale Dodds, Jameson Rodgers, Joey Hyde, Sister C, Brett Kissel, & Jordan Gray.
Hosted by Chicago’s BBQ destination, Bub City, and ACM award-winning Joe’s Bar, Windy City Smokeout brings an impressive lineup of award-winning country music stars and some of the best BBQ talent and craft breweries from around the nation. BBQ joints will be serving during the festival, ranging from Chicago favorites such as Lillie’s Q, Bub City and Smoque to visitors from Mississippi (Ubons), Arkansas (Hogapalooza), Texas (the Salt Lick BBQ) and more. The fourth annual festival is expected to draw more than 40,000 people and will take place Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17on Grand Avenue near the Chicago River.
