8 Country Artists You Won’t Hear On Country Radio, But Better Be Listening To

Country radio is a fickle beast.

On one hand, I can turn that dial and instantly be put into a better mood with a country song cranked through those speakers. On the other hand, I’m pretty limited in the variety that I am going to hear. Plain and simple.

It’s not a secret that country radio has been a little weak in the past few years. With Chris Stapleton bagging up country music awards like it’s Black Friday, my next question is will country radio follow? It seems like the fans have spoken, the Academy has spoken, the album sales have spoken, the ticket sales have spoken, but the radio barely plays an award winner like Chris Stapleton.
