The superstar said he’s been back in the studio working on a fresh sound and his 16th album.
“You have to take time to live and breathe, to fill up your tanks to be creative,” the singer said of his process, via a release. “Otherwise, you’re just on a treadmill churning out what you’ve already done.” For his 16th studio LP, Chesney is joined by longtime co-producer Buddy Cannon (Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard) and has been writing with equally familiar top-tier Music City scribes like Josh Osborne, Shane McAnally, David Lee Murphy, and more.
He has not yet revealed the project’s name, but the collection is expected to drop Spring 2016. This summer he’ll launch another massive tour with Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, and Old Dominion all opening.
