Rarely does a debut single from a country artist have the power to be a number one. But then again, you rarely get a superstar like Jason Aldean singing on the track with you.

Jordan Rager’s debut single “Southern Boy” might just have what it takes.

“Southern Boy” was built to be a radio hit. It’s an easy listener that will strike a chord in the hearts of guys throughout the south and really country boys in general.

A good song will paint a picture in your mind and take you to a place where you and the artist connect on some level. “Southern Boy” is exactly that. It reminds me of childhood, high school, college and right now all in 3 minutes and 49 seconds.

The vocal give and take between Aldean and Rager is spot on, with the young star matching Aldean note for note. All in all, it’s one helluva start for a debut single and the fact that he has Aldean’s blessing really says something about the direction he’s headed.

Broken Bow Records recording artist Jordan Rager hails from Loganville, GA. The rising country star has made a name for himself touring across the country opening for the likes of Justin Moore (Off The Beaten Path Tour), Randy Houser, Josh Thompson, Kip Moore, Love & Theft, Craig Campbell, Rodney Atkins and David Alan Coe.

Here’s what some of country’s heavy hitters are saying about him:

“I really think everyone’s going to love this kid.” – Jason Aldean

“I was really impressed with Jordan, he was up there like a seasoned vet without a band. He handled 5,000 people like he was riding a bicycle.” – Randy Houser

“I wish I had as much talent in my entire body as he has in his pinky. Whatever ‘IT’ is…he’s got it.” – Justin Moore
