NASCAR truly is unlike any other sport in the world.
Exhibit A: Drivers making a run to the Panda Express drive-thru in the middle of the race.
The Daytona 500 is currently in a rain delay after just 15 laps (and one massive wreck). And with the race on hold, at least one driver hopped out of his racecar and into his personal vehicle for a quick mid-race trip to Panda Express.
Chase Briscoe’s wife, Marissa, tweeted a picture of the driver of the #14 car, still in his firesuit, sitting in the drive thru waiting on some of that delicious orange chicken and fried rice.
Just a world-class athlete eating some cheap Chinese food in the middle of a competition. Damn I love NASCAR.
But as others pointed out, he may be playing a dangerous game.
Uhhh we sure Panda Express is the best idea for later in the car?! 😅💩

Even fellow driver Corey Lajoie called out Briscoe for his “rookie mistake,” saying that Briscoe better hope the race doesn’t get restarted today.
You know those racecars don’t have bathrooms, right Chase?
It remains to be seen when (or if) they’ll get back to racing tonight, but let’s hope that Chase’s rain delay meal doesn’t come back to haunt him once he straps back in the car.
Oh and Chase, maybe ask your team if they want anything next time you make a food run.
