WATCH: Kellie Pickler Brings A Bartender To Tears In Japan Singing Patsy Cline’s “Crazy”

Music truly is the universal language.

It can transcend any language barrier, bringing comfort in good times and bad.

Unfortunately, Kellie Pickler is going through one of the worst of times right now, after losing her husband, Kyle Jacobs, to an apparent suicide at their Nashville home last month.

But back a few years ago, Kellie and her husband were able to show a bartender in Japan the true power of music.

On an episode of the couples’ CMT show I Love Kellie Pickler, Kellie and Kyle walk into a small little hole-in-the-wall bar in Japan. And I’m talking small. As in, there’s no way this place holds more than 5 or 6 people. It makes your local dive bar look like Jason Aldean’s nightclub in downtown Nashville.

And as she began making conversation with the bartender, the former American Idol contestant told them that she was a country music singer. Well naturally the bartender wanted her to sing something – and when Kellie busted out Patsy Cline’s hit “Crazy,” it turned every head in the (tiny) bar.

One of the patrons commented that Kellie sounds like Mariah Carey. And the bartender broke down in tears, telling Kellie with her limited English that she was “very happy today.”

What a beautiful moment – thanks to the power of music.
