Johnny Cash’s Kitchen & Saloon Coming To Downtown Nashville

Text

Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and a handful of other country stars have bars on Broadway, hell even Kid Rock has one.

Now, you can add the great Johnny Cash to that list.

According to a press release, Icon Entertainment’s Bill Miller announced today that, in collaboration with the Johnny Cash estate, he will open a 15,000 square foot downtown bar and restaurant called “Johnny Cash’s Kitchen and Saloon.” Located next to the Johnny Cash Museum at 121 3rd Avenue South, the new concept is anticipated to open in late Spring 2019.

“I’m beyond thrilled to expand our extremely successful relationship with the Cash Estate through this ground-breaking food and beverage concept,” says Icon Entertainment CEO Bill Miller. “My relationship with the Cash family extends to nearly my entire life, and there’s no greater pleasure for me and my family than continuing our partnership well into the future. The impression Johnny Cash left on Nashville is indelible and this venture further confirms that his presence will be a dominant force here for many years to come.”

The restaurant promises to offer authentic Southern cuisine.

“In collaboration with another Nashville legend, the Swett’s family, we will serve traditional Southern Meat and Three fare (with a little Soul Food tossed in for good measure) prepared and served fresh every day on the premises,” Miller said.

Another day, another celebrity-owned bar going up Nashville. Stay tuned.
