Jamey Johnson Returning To Myrtle Beach House Of Blues Where 2017 Gun Control Incident Occurred

Well shit.

If you remember back to 2017, Jamey Johnson canceled a show at the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina House of Blues over an issue with the venue’s security and gun control policy. While details weren’t very clear back then, and still aren’t very clear even now, the long story short is that Jamey and/or a members of his band refused to surrender their guns and/or refused to go through metal detectors every time they went in and out of the venue.

The show was cancelled and fans were pissed, as was Jamey, who served in the United States Marine Corps.

It was a shit show…

However, with the recent announcement of Jamey’s new tour, presented by SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country, Jamey will indeed be returning to the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach to kick off the tour on February 16th.

Needless to say, fans had their reservations in the Facebook comments.

“Y’all actually gonna let him come in and perform this time? Smh”

‘Wait, haven’t I fallen for this before?”

“I can’t believe he’s going back down there.”

While there’s no reason to think that the same issue will occur this time around, the comments prove, if nothing else, that people remember and have their reservations. Still, whether it’s Myrtle Beach or anywhere else, it’s going to be one helluva tour. If you can, make a point to get your ass there.
