What a special night, honoring a rock legend.
Some of music’s best came together to honor Chris Cornell this past Wednesday night, in a five-hour, star-studded tribute concert called: I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell.
Members of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audiosalve, (Cornell’s former bands) Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Metallica, and the Foo Fighters were all in attendance, as was Ryan Adams, Miley Cyrus, Fiona Apple, Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Miguel and Adam Levine. The night was hosted by Jimmi Kimmel, although Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Tom Hanks, Courtney Cox and many others were also in attendance to pay their respects.
The event proceeds benefited the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, along with the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
Alongside, Chris Cornell’s old band Temple of the Dog, watch as Chris and Brandi deliver a knockout performance of “Hunger Strike.”
Chris also performed “The Keeper.”
