Dierks Bentley Details Upcoming TV Shows, Including One About The Hot Country Knights

Remember when Dierks Bentley said that he was working on a TV show recently? Well, turns out he has more than one idea up his sleeve.

In an interview with CMT’s Cody Alan, Dierks gave a brief synopsis of the two TV shows he’s currently working on.

“One is going to be about the Hot Country Knights. It’s more of a Spinal Tap meets Curb Your Enthusiasm type of situation,” shared Dierks. “The Fox show, though, is more of a “‘Cheers’ of Nashville” kind of thing. Of course, you remember the show ‘Cheers’ based out of Boston. This show revolves around a bar in Nashville, and you have this great bar owner, who’s seen it all, been everywhere, and is kind of like a Sally Fields type character.”

While Dierks remains optimistic, it doesn’t quite sound like everything is set in stone just yet.

“I’m learning a lot about the TV business, buts it’s like having a song on hold. You write a song, and somebody puts it on hold, but that doesn’t mean that it will make the record. It’s a long ways to go. We will see!”

Dierks even asked Cody to join the show.

“There is going to be a guy at the bar, every day, just sitting in a trash can full of ice. And, he has to have good pecks and be physically fit.”

“I can do this,” laughs Cody. “Say when. I have lots of practice.”

And, he wasn’t lying.

And, if you’re not familiar with the Hot Country Knights, you need to be.
