Tyler Childers Joins Town Mountain For A Live Performance Of “Down Low”

Listen to that crowd roar. During a recent, sold-out show at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas, Tyler Childers joined Town Mountain, for a performance of their hit collaboration “Down Low.”

The Asheville, North Carolina, bluegrass band had been opening  for Tyler during his 2018 Sludge River Roadshow Tour, however, Tyler also co-wrote “Down Low” alongside Town Mountain banjo player Jesse Langlais.

“To me “Down Low” has a Waylon vibe, which is a damn good vibe to have,” Langlais says. “My favorite line in the song, which was a Tyler line, is, ‘I’ve been getting into meanness on the dark end of the street.’ Ahh, that’s downright lonesome.”

With a Lone Star beer in his jacket pocket, Tyler and company just about blew the roof the iconic Texas venue.
