Nashville News Station Shows Infomerical Instead Of NYE Ball Drop, The Reaction Was Priceless

Going out on New Year’s Eve isn’t for everybody.

I guess some people just don’t like starting off the new year with a crippling hangover and even worse anxiety. Combined with the rainy weather this year, many people in Nashville chose to spend their New Year’s Eve watching the festivities from the comfort of their living room.

Well, that was the plan anyway. Because when people tuned into local NBC affiliate WSMV hoping to see the ball drop in Times Square and Peter Frampton and Keith Urban rocking out from Nashville, what they got instead was… an hour-long infomercial for an air fryer.

People were confused, to say the least.

Some people were upset.

Others clearly saw the value in the opportunity to buy an air fryer for only 4 easy payments of $39.99. And, they even throw in an Instant Pot for free!

Some even preferred the infomercial over hearing about “vaginal steaming,” whatever the hell that is.

Maybe this was WSMV’s way of trying to get us all to eat a little healthier in 2019.

Whatever their reason for the bizarre choice in programming, if your New Year’s Resolution was to get an air fryer, well, WSMV has you covered. I guess 2019 is going to be the year of the air fryer, at least here in Nashville.
