This is what country music is all about.
Luke Combs teamed up with the Grand Ole Opry to create a special moment on the Opry Stage on Tuesday night. Luke honored the collaborating songwriters from his Platinum-selling debut album, This One’s For You and deluxe album This One’s For You Too. Several of the songwriters joined him on stage to perform the songs they’d co-written with Luke.
“We all grew up listening to and loving the Opry,” said Luke. “When I called each writer and told them what was going to happen, it was what the Opry was all about. We have always been the underdogs, and tonight the Opry fans, the diehard fans of country music, got to see a show that you couldn’t see anywhere else in the world. To see my buddies sing their songs has made tonight one of the most special nights I’ve had since moving here four years ago.”
The songwriters were extremely thankful to Luke for helping make their dreams come true. “She Got The Best Of Me” co-writer, Rob Snyder shared, “To be invited by Luke and given the opportunity to do that tonight is the coolest thing any artist can do for a songwriter. To have an artist cut a song is amazing and then to invite you to join him at the Opry? It’s a dream.”
Congrats to Luke, the songwriters, and The Grand Ole Opry on a successful and special night for country music.
