Where does your home state rank?
We’re doing our best here at HQ to drive up the consumption in Illinois, but at only 27.4 gallons, we’re somewhere in the middle. Utah and all those Mormon folks are bringing up the rear at a measly 18.7 gallons per capita, while New Hampshire on the other hand, tops this list off at 40.6 gallons.
No surprise that Northern states of Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Dakotas are relatively high… it’s cold up there and all that beer keeps you warm during the 5-month winters. Also, the craft beer boom out west is responsible for the high number in states like Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.
Want to get involved? You can help your home state by visiting your local grocery store, buying more beer and drinking it.
