New Study Says Drunk Online Shopping Is On The Rise

I am completely not surprised about this one.

Sometimes when I’m drunk I buy shit I will never use, other times I buy stuff I actually need. Then, 2 days later a kitchen sink basket arrives with a pair of Adidas soccer pants – the fuck? According to CBS, this online shopping is increasing…with drunk people. A new study finds 68 million people admit to shopping online under the influence. Purchases range from a single tea bag from Japan, a shower curtain of rainbow cats, and even a life-sized cardboard cutout of Danny Devito.

“It’s one of those things where it comes in the mail and you’re like, I’m not quite sure what I ordered and then it hits you,” said Nick Stucky a buzzed online shopper.

The spend is at an estimated $447 per person, double the amount from the previous year.

“We do spend a lot of money while we’re drunk. The problem is actually totaling over $30 billion,” said Jennifer McDermott of

Food is the top purchase made, followed by shoes and clothes.
