It’s kind of cheating to catch an elk with a helicopter, don’t you think?
According to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, the helicopter was trying to net the elk, sedate it and fly it back to put a collar on it for further study by a biologist. However, when they attempted to net it, the elk jumped up into the tail rotor and took down the entire helicopter. The elk didn’t make it. The crew escaped with minor injuries.
This elk wasn’t having any of their science bullshit.
